My name is Renee Kinkead and I am the Cake Designer and Principle of Creatively Yours Custom Cakes.
Though currently living in Tarpon Springs, Florida, my roots take me back to the Mid-West where I was born and raised in the Central Ohio area. More specifically, The Ohio State University Buckeye Country!
After marrying my husband in 2003, we moved to Indianapolis, where we lived for approximately 10 years, before moving to Florida. On our First Anniversary, we traveled to Florida for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and I ordered an anniversary cake that was adorned with sugar art flowers. Aside from tasting great, the cake was beautiful and an immediate desire to learn the art was ignited within me. After having sewed, done ceramics, and continually pursued and loved creative outlets, pursuing cakes and sugar art seemed only natural.
Beginning with the Wilton courses at a local establishment, it piqued my appetite to look further into instruction available in the craft of sugar art. Since my initial instruction with Wilton classes, it has been my distinct and absolute privilege to train with some of the best pastry chefs in the business. Chef Nicholas Lodge, International Sugar Art Collection, Atlanta, Georgia, and Chef and Master Chocolatier, Mark Tilling, Squires Kitchen International Bakery School (school pictured above), Farnham, Surrey, England, are two Masters in their craft that I have been honored to learn from.
I offer you one-on-one design consultation to assist in creating the perfect cake for your special occasion, keeping in mind the custom design and creation of the elements for your cake is what will make your cake unique. I will be glad to discuss all options to meet your design and budget expectations.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on the perfect custom design for your special occasion.
With Warmest Regards,
Renee
